LARGE ANIMAL (EQUINE) SLING
Over the years our Equine Sling has become a staple in the veterinarian community. In fact, back in 2006 when the nation was captivated by Barbaro, Sports Illustrated's cover showed the famous racehorse in the Liftex Equine Sling after his surgery from the injury he suffered at that year's Preakness.
In many cases, when you need an Equine sling your horses health is on the line. Liftex understands that is dedicated to seeing that you do not have to wait through production time in order to get your sling. In most scenarios we can ship our Equine sling within 24hours.
The principle on which the sling operates is all sections of the sling conforming exactly to the body of the animal with adjustable straps and quick release snaps. The sling consists of three major sections; the chest piece ("T" piece) which conforms to the sternum and shoulders of the animal. The body section (belly band) or sterna abdominal support piece, and the tail section. The sling offers flexibility in handling horses with injured shoulders or humerus fractures in that the chest piece can be attached to the opposite side of the top of the body portion to the injured shoulder. The sling can be used for either support of the standing horse with leg injuries, lifting the recumbent horse, or transporting an anesthetized horse.

Advantages
- The sling is constructed of lightweight polyester material with an open weave. It conforms to the animal and allows heat to be dissipated thus reducing sweating.
- The fulcrum of suspension from the lifting rings is easily adjustable with the horse in the sling thus promoting sternum versus abdominal support.
- No chains or whipple trees are needed, thus reducing the risk of injury to horse or humans.
- The sling can easily be cleaned by submersion in soap and water or in a disinfectant solution. It can be dried quickly when suspended from one of the lifting rings. DO NOT USE BLEACH.
