Reversed Eye Web Slings
Reversed Eye “RE” slings, also called return eye slings, are a special type of eye and eye lifting sling which is well suited for choker hitch applications and/ or abrasive environments due to their unique, protected construction.
"RE" web slings are formed by using multiple widths of webbing held edge to edge and then attached by a wear pad on both sides of the web sling body which forms loop eyes at each end; this causes the eyes to lay at a right angle to the plane of the web sling body. The loop eyes are then faced with a wear pad on both sides. The Reversed Eye sling can be used with all three hitch types (vertical, basket, choker), but this particular construction makes the reversed eye sling well suited for the choker hitch application. And since the "RE" sling is covered in wear pad material, this sling can be used in abrasive environments that might cause standard web slings to be taken out of service prematurely.
